You may now log in to your Parent Portals to complete your student/s enrollment for Steelville Elementary School, Steelville Middle School, and/or Steelville High School and to apply for Free/Reduced Price Meals! Please see the flyer below for instructions on how to register your student/s for school.

3. Choose "Meal Benefits", then "Meal Benefits Application"
4. Complete all steps until you submit. A letter will be mailed out to you when your application is processed, within 10 days of submitting your online application.
Note: You may pick up a physical copy of this form in your student's building office if needed.
We have another new staff introduction ready!!! We would like to introduce Mr. Cole Thompson! Mr. Thompson will be serving as Assistant Principal for Steelville Elementary and Middle Schools this year!
Mr. Thompson's favorite foods are pizza, Mexican food, fresh seafood, and "the ole classic American cheeseburger and fries"! He enjoys spending time with his family, golf, fishing, and gardening!
When asked what brought him to Steelville, Mr. Thompson said, "I love that Steelville is a district with a great culture and family atmosphere. I'm very impressed by the recent initiatives taken by the district to provide comprehensive resources to students, families, and staff, and I can't wait to be part of the process for these initiatives!"

The final team "holding down the fort" over the summer is our Central Office! Summer is one of the busiest times of the year for the CO staff, and on any given day you will see them with their heads down working on reports or making phone calls, in meetings or at a conference, and generally just keeping things running smoothly and preparing for the new year. There's no such thing as autopilot for a school district, and we are glad to have a capable team to lead the way into the new school year!

Schedules will be available for you to pick up at the HS next week, Tuesday thru Friday from 9-4. (SCHEDULES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE ON MONDAY, AUG 5).
If you know you need to talk to me about your schedule or make changes, you can make an appointment using this link HS Counselor Appt . YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT to pick up your schedule--but appointments will take priority over walk-ins.
If you know you cannot make it during those times next week, please email me and we can work something out. I’d like to get schedule changes made before we start the year, so please don’t wait until the first day of school to pick up your schedule.

Another department that has been hard at work all summer long is Technology! WIth the help of their two summer workers, they've spent the last couple of months cleaning computers, installing new technology, updating old technology, and getting everything ready for the first day of school. Soon, they'll start work on installing a whole bunch of brand new Smartboards in classrooms! We are so happy to have the best tech team around!
The Lady Cardinals Basketball team attended the Branson Tri-Lakes Shootout and had great time bonding and getting some work in as a team!
Attention SMS Families! Fall practice for Steelville Middle School will begin on Monday, August 19th. SMS Cross Country will practice at Steelville City Park from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday. #GoCardinals!
Our maintenance department, along with their two summer workers, have been busy taking care of lots of projects while school has been out of session! They've knocked holes in two walls and installed new doors, spruced up the music theater sign, replaced some steps on a deck, and completed lots and lots and lots of other projects, and they're not done yet! We are pretty impressed with all the work they've done!

Due to parking lot resurfacing, families coming out to get their physicals at Steelville Middle School today need to drive around back of the middle school building by way of the bus barn road and enter the building on the side door by the cafeteria.
There are spots available for walk-ins, so if you didn't get an appointment scheduled but you still need a physical for your Steelville student, they can probably squeeze you in!
Remember, physicals are today, July 31st, at Steelville Middle School, until 5:30 PM.

Hey, Cardinals! One part of getting ready for the upcoming school year is preparing our school busses to be safe, sound, and clean for our students. Our bus mechanic, Mike Murray, has been hard at work this summer doing just that! Doesn't that brand new bus look incredible?!
Today, we would like to introduce Angel Palecki! Ms. Palecki will be joining the team at Steelville Elementary School.
Ms. Palecki's favorite food is pizza, and in her free time she loves making memories with her family!
