Hey, Cardinals! If you've been to the City Park recently, you will have seen the damage remaining from the November flood. On March 1st, 2025, the Steelville Park Board and the Steelville School District invite you to bring your tools and join in this effort to clean up our park! We will meet at the Perkins Pavilion at 9AM with your shovels, gloves, and rakes! A free hotdog lunch will be provided!
Hey, Cardinals! We wanted to put out a quick reminder that for safety reasons, glass containers of any kind and/or helium balloons are NOT permitted on our school busses. If your child receives any Valentine gift with glass and/or helium balloons, a parent or guardian will be expected to pick up the gift at the front office of their student's building. Thank you!

Hey, Cardinals! We just finished driving around town and checking some of our bus routes, and unfortunately, there were too many slick spots for us to be comfortable sending busses out in the morning. As a result, tomorrow, Thursday, February 13th will be our first AMI day! Students should complete their AMI Day 1 assignments tomorrow, and have them ready to turn in at the beginning of the next school day to avoid being marked absent. Stay safe and warm out there!!!

From lumps of clay to works of art! Our talented SHS art students enjoyed learning how to make these incredible coil pots, and it looks like they had so much fun doing so! We love to see their creativity shine!

The SHS Wrestling Cardinals competed in the Lady Rebel & Central Rebel Invitationals in Park Hills this past Friday and Saturday! It was a great opportunity for all of our wrestlers to show growth from the beginning of the season. Congratulations to Jaydon Sharp for placing 2nd at 100lbs, Alaigha Falgout placing 6th at 135lbs, and John Henry Bell placing 7th at 144lbs.
Our girls compete at the district tournament in St. Clair this upcoming Friday & Saturday, while our boys wrestle in Benton, MO on the weekend of the 21st and 22nd.

Today we did a graphing lesson over the Chiefs vs. the Eagles game. My students were able to connect graphing and data to a real life situation.

Our students will have their work on display in a special exhibit at Gallery Zeke throughout the month of March. We would love to have community support at the opening reception on March 8th from 11am-4pm to celebrate their creative works, and pay a special homage to Barb Bryan, whose works will also be on display. Thank you STARCO for giving our students this wonderful opportunity!
