Thank you so much to Sean & Ellen with Bobcat Opossum, who spent some time with local high school bands, including Steelville High School, last week! The students had so much fun listening to music, and they even got the chance to join with Cuba and St. James students to write a song, Little Liza Jane! Here's a link to Bobcat Opossum's performance of the song!

We're thrilled to announce that a winner has been chosen for our Free and Reduced Application Giveaway contest! All applications we received by October 1st (266 of them!) were alphabetized by the name of the signer of the form and numbered in that order, and then Mr. Vetter used a random number generator to select the winning application (#132). The winner has been contacted and will receive a gift certificate to The Singing Butcher Shoppe and a gift certificate donated by The Main Deck!
Remember, every Free and Reduced application turned in helps our district receive the funding our students deserve.
Free and Reduced applications are accepted year-round. If your household's situation has changed, please feel free to apply or reapply! You can apply online through the parent portal or request a paper copy of the application at any of our school buildings.

SHS artists recently completed lino-block prints as the last project in their Line unit. This process required students to come up with a design, carve it into a piece of linoleum, and make multiple copies of their work. Students had lots of freedom with their designs for this project, and they turned out great!
